Senator John Kerry Inspects Wuse Market Solar Interconnected Mini-Grid

The United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, Sen. John Kerry, yesterday visited the Wuse Market 1MW PV Solar Inter Connected Mini-Grid. The grid which is a project of Green Village Energy (GVE) with support from Power Africa and USAID is aimed at improving the power supply to the commercial hub while reducing noise and environmental pollution.

Accompanying the Senator was AEDC MD/CEO, Engr. Adeoye Fadeyibi, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Leonard, MD/CEO Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria, Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad, the MD/CEO Green Village Electricity, Ifeanyi Orajiaka, the Power Team Lead & Private Sector USAID US Embassy, Brook Adam and the Deputy Chief of Party USAID Power Africa, Tunde Gbajumo.
