PHED Set to Connect Kom-Kom Community 

Hope is rising for the Kom-Kom Community in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State as the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution (PHED) Plc is set to reconnect the community on her network after more than two years of the community being removed from the DisCo network.This development was announced at a joint meeting of the electricity distribution company and the representatives of Kom-Kom communities from Ndoki, Oyigbo Urban, Kom-Kom, Asa and other communities in Oyigbo at the headquarters of the company in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Jos DisCo Sensitizes Benue Customers on Band Upgrade 

Moved by the need to upgrade some feeders in Benue state to higher bands to increase electricity supply to the customers, Jos Electricity Distribution Plc has carried out a sensitization of customers in Makurdi.

A statement signed by the Head, Corporate Communications, Dr Friday Adakole Elijah, said the customers were drawn from feeders in Otukpo, Gboko and Makurdi, the Benue state capital.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director, Engr Abdu Mohammed explained to the customers that the sensitization exercise was meant to conscientize customers on the implications of migrating them to a higher band.

Benin Electricity, TCN Plan Partnership to Boost Power Supply 

he Management of the Benin Electricity Distribution (BEDC) Plc. has expressed its readiness to partner with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Benin Region, to light up the four states within its coverage areas.

Henry Ajagbawa, the Managing Director of BEDC gave the assurance when he played host to TCN team led by the General Manager Technical, Isaac Okpe, at BEDC headquarters in Benin on Friday.

Otedolaâ Geregu Power PLC Wins Power Company of The Year Award 

Geregu Power PLC has won the Power Company of the Year Award at the Independent Awards 2022.

The power company, which has as its chairman, Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, scooped the award on Saturday night at the Convention Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Geregu Power PLC is a company located in the ltobe- Ajaokuta Express Road, Ajaokuta, Kogi State was constructed and commissioned by the Federal Government on February 16, 2007, exactly 16 years ago to generate electric power and supply to the National Grid managed by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

One Year of Aba Power Operations: A Reflection 

It was one year yesterday when the Aba Ringed-Fence Area, comprising nine out of the 17 Local Government Areas in Abia State, was officially handed over to Aba Power Ltd by the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) following the amicable settlement of the dispute with the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) and Interstate Electrics. Buhari Intensifies Efforts to Boost Power Supply in Nigeria 

The Federal Executive Council (FEC), in the course of the week, approved 53.1 million dollars and N2.1billion as local component for the procurement and installation of electricity conductors to boost power supply across the country.

The conductors, when installed, would help address the challenge of constant tripping of circuit breakers due to overloading of electricity lines.
