Engr. Okwuokenye Chijioke is the Chief Operating Officer of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company Plc (AEDC). With over fifteen years of experience in the power sector, he has established himself as a dynamic leader and innovator.

Prior to his current role, Engr. Chijioke served as the Vice President of Engineering at Konexa, where he spearheaded transformative initiatives in the power sector, delivering sustainable and reliable energy solutions while driving profitability. His tenure saw the implementation of performance-driven strategies that significantly enhanced customer satisfaction.

His journey in the power sector began at the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, where he served as the Injection Substation Operator at the Central Load Despatch Office. He then progressed to positions of increasing responsibility, including Project Engineer and Manager at Income Electrix Limited, before joining Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Plc.

At Port Harcourt Disco, Engr. Chijioke held pivotal roles as the Head of Strategic Projects Initiative Cell and Head of Commercial, where he played a key role in driving strategic projects and commercial initiatives that optimized operational efficiency and revenue generation.

Chijioke's diverse expertise, combined with his educational background, which includes a first degree in Electrical Electronics Engineering from the University of Benin, a Masters in Electrical Engineering, (Power and Machine Option), and an MBA in Business Administration. He is a strategic thinker capable of navigating the complexities of the power sector.
