Engr. Blessing Ogbe is a seasoned executive and certified engineer with over two decades of leadership experience in Nigeria’s electricity distribution industry. Appointed Chief Operating Officer of Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) in 2025, he brings a distinguished track record of operational excellence, revenue growth, and strategic transformation across multiple leading distribution companies (DISCOs).

Prior to joining AEDC, Engr. Ogbe served as Chief Operating Officer at Aba Power Limited Electric (APLE), where he spearheaded key reforms that improved commercial performance, reduced technical losses, and enhanced overall customer satisfaction. His earlier career included senior leadership positions at Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) and Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHEDC), where he held roles such as Regional Head and State Manager, delivering results in network optimization, metering, billing efficiency, and stakeholder engagement.

He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Benin and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Power Systems at Rivers State University. Engr. Ogbe is a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and a professional member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). He has also contributed to several regulatory and committee platforms, including the NSE Nnewi Branch and the Engineering Regulation and Monitoring (ERM) team of COREN.
