Ibem Idika is a global Human Resource professional, Organization Design/Development, and Human Capital Development expert. He is the Head Human Resources at Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).

Ibem has over 20 years hands-on Human Resources experience spanning the Public Sector, NGO, ICT, Telecoms, couriers, Power utilities, Consulting, and Real Estate.

Before joining AEDC, he was the General Manager Corporate Services, at Fortune Global Shipping & Logistics Nigeria Ltd and founding Director of SPEED Consulting Limited. A firm of professional advisers with a focus on Organization Human Resource development, HR Technology advisory, implementation, and training.

He has served as Human Resource Leader and Consultant in some notable Nigerian companies such as General Manager HR Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company, Afribank Estate Co Ltd, as Head Human Resources and Admin, Maple Group, as Group Human Resources Manager, SystemSpecs as Human Resources Manager. Leading Edge Consulting and SCG Consulting as Senior Human Resource Consultant.

In 2017 he served in the electricity industry committee which developed a competency matrix for critical roles in Nigeria’s Electricity Distribution sector and has personally trained Human Resources professionals who are leading the function in several industries.

In February 2020, he was recognized among the 501 fabulous global human resource leaders by the World HRD Congress. PeopleHum recognised Idika as one of the top 40 Human Resource professionals to follow in 2022.

He is a graduate of Geography from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and has also attended several trainings locally and overseas. Idika is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and Member, the Nigerian Institute for Training and Development and the Society for Corporate Governance.
